Overview

We have core expertise in basic and clinical neurophysiology, biomedical engineering and instrumentation, and information technology. Our research & development organization includes PhDs, physicians, and other scientists and engineers with extensive industry and academic experience. We believe that a multi-disciplinary approach leads to proprietary and unique solutions to complex and important neurological problems, primarily those affecting peripheral nerves.

We focus on the development of our intellectual property assets through regular filings of US and international patents, trademarks, and copyrights. In addition, we are committed to the dissemination of scientific and clinical information via peer reviewed publications and encourage our employees to publish their technical and medical research. We participate in professional conferences through submissions of abstracts, posters and oral presentations. Finally, we provide extensive support for federally funded research studies at leading academic institutions. These studies often provide collaborative research opportunities for our research team.

Significant research & development programs are presently ongoing at NeuroMetrix. Our primary focus has been on NC-stat® DPNCheck™ which is now in production (see "Products"). Following commercial launch of NC-stat DPNCheck, we will continue development work leading to the next generation of the device. We continue to develop new consumables and focus on improvements to and accessories for our existing products including the ADVANCE™ NCS/EMG System.
