Senior Hardware Engineer

Reports to: VP of Engineering

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Design and development of application software for NeuroMetrix products.
2) Integrate embedded software into application code.
3) Provide project management support including scheduling, task breakdowns and evaluating resource requirements..
4) Participate in defining functional requirements for new products and translate these into technical specifications.
5) Support documentation and validation efforts.
6) Supply status reports to upper management.
7) Follow company policies regarding ISO and FDA compliance.

EDUCATION
A B.S. in computer science, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related engineering or scientific field.

EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 5 years experience in software design in a product development environment. Instrumentation or medical device experience is highly desirable.

SKILLS
- Strong C++ development skills.
- User interface experience, especially MFC
- Full life-cycle development skills including verification/validation.
- Proven track record in working with real-world engineering constraints and design tradeoffs
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with hand-held and/or medical products is very desirable
