Senior Hardware Engineer

Reports to: VP of Engineering

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Lead the design and development of embedded control hardware for NeuroMetrix products.
2) Provide project management support including scheduling, task breakdowns and evaluating resource requirements..
3) Participate in defining functional requirements for new products and translate these into technical specifications.
4) Support documentation and validation efforts.
5) Supply status reports to upper management.
6) Follow company policies regarding ISO and FDA compliance.

EDUCATION
A B.S. in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related engineering or scientific field.

EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 5 years experience in hardware design in a product development environment.

SKILLS
- A B.S. in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related engineering or scientific field.
- Strong analog and digitial circuit design.
- Experience with microcontrollers and component communication protocols such as SPI, I2C.
- Experience with circuit analysis and circuit layout tools.
- Proven track record in working with real-world engineering constraints and design tradeoffs
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with hand-held and/or medical products is very desirable
- Embedded software experience for hardware control is a big plus.
