Marketing Communications Manager/Director

We are looking for an accomplished and hands-on marketing professional to create, implement and oversee communications programs to effectively describe and promote NEUROMetrix and our products. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing you will drive lead generation via trade shows, direct marketing, media advertising, company website and any other appropriate materials; maximize sales cycle efficiency via marketing collateral materials, peer endorsement efforts, sales support and other methods; execute corporate marketing initiatives, including branding program, investor and public relations support; identify alternative marketing strategies and key publications for target audiences such as segment specific or disease state specific marketing; work closely with Brand Managers to keep pace with developments and to plan and implement successful marketing programs; maintain/develop supporting graphics such as logos and product shots; create press releases for new product introductions and industry announcements. Other responsibilities include lead the development and maintenance of our corporate website; write, edit, proof and update all marketing collateral including articles, fact sheets, brochures, product guides, white papers and advertising copy; create, update and maintain an archive of company literature including brochures, newsletters, logos, product photos, industry magazine articles and announcements; and gather competitive information and maintain archive; work with brand managers and field sales to create product competitive analysis.

You will have a minimum of a BS degree with a preference for marketing, journalism, technical or business majors, MBA preferred, with a proven track record of at least 5-7 years in marketing communications, preferably specializing in marketing products directly to physician groups. Prior experience in a “premier” medical device company or agency as well as in a small or venture backed company is required along with new product launch experience. You must have a strong ability to think creatively and translate from conceptual to concrete with exceptional copy writing skills; the ability to interpret, analyze, and communicate to diverse audiences; strong negotiation skills and vendor management; ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines and familiarity with website development and design. You will have demonstrated leadership skills to motivate sales professionals, colleagues and consultants, strong project management skills to lead complex programs and projects with accountability and drive for results; excellent written and verbal communication skills; creative problem solver; flexible who responds quickly to rapid change; able to work autonomously or with a team; strong influencing and relationship building skills; possess an entrepreneurial spirit with proven success in strategy development and “hands on” implementation and thrive in a fast-paced business environment. This position requires up to 30% travel.
