Technology

We have unique core expertise in basic and clinical neurophysiology, biomedical engineering and instrumentation, and information technology. Our research & development organization includes PhDs, physicians, and other scientists and engineers with extensive industry and academic experience. We believe that a multi-disciplinary approach leads to proprietary and unique solutions to complex and important health care challenges, primarily those affecting peripheral nerves.

We focus on the development of our intellectual property assets through regular filings of US and international patents, trademarks, and copyrights. In addition, we are committed to the dissemination of scientific and clinical information via peer reviewed publications and encourage our employees to publish their technical and medical research. We participate in professional conferences through submissions of abstracts, posters and oral presentations. Finally, we provide support for federally funded research studies at leading academic institutions all over the world. These studies often provide collaborative research opportunities for our research team.

Significant research & development programs are presently ongoing at NeuroMetrix. Our primary focus has been on the NC-stat® DPNCheck® and the SENSUS® Pain Management System. We are currently working on several innovative enhancements to both of these products as well as on new therapeutic devices for the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy and its consequences.
